Religious Diversity and Anti-Discrimination Training
The growth in European religious diversity has been accompanied by opportunities not only for increased intercultural understanding but also for greater conflict.
In this context, CEJI and 6 partner organisations developed a new training programme for adult educators to address issues of religious diversity and anti-discrimination, bringing a topic that has generally belonged only to religious leaders to the realm of adult educators - transforming religious differences from an obstacle to an opportunity.
Open to people of all senses of religious and non-religious belonging, the training module on Religious Diversity and Anti-Discrimination aims to address the religious diversity and discrimination issues that are becoming increasingly pertinent in European society. Using highly interactive and participatory methods that have proven effective in dealing with general prejudice and discrimination, it seeks to provide adult educators with tools for situations where religious diversity and discrimination are a concern.

Two new training manuals focusing on issues affecting young people : "Overcoming Antisemitism" and "Overcoming Islamophobia" have recently been published. These two training modules focus on specific issues facing Jewish and Muslim young people respectively . Designed to be used either separately or together, these modules follow the training approach adopted in the Religious Diversity and Anti-Discrimination Training Programme and are intended to be used with:

- Muslim OR Jewish youth leaders delivering workshops on antisemitism and/or islamophobia with their own communities.
- Youth leaders of any faith (or none) providing anti-discrimination training focusing on antisemitism and islamophobia.
The manual is organised to allow antisemitism and islamophobia to be addressed separately or together. The manuals were developed with the generous support of the European Youth Foundation of the Council of Europe.
