ENAR is a network of European NGOs working to combat racism in all EU member states.

Established in 1997 as a major outcome of the 1997 European Year Against Racism, ENAR aims to fight racism, xenophobia, antisemitism and Islamophobia, to promote equality of treatment between EU citizens and third country nationals, and to link local/regional/national initiatives with European initiatives. ENAR's vision is of a world free from racism.

ENAR is an important channel for CEJI's efforts to combat all forms of racism, and to generate more solidarity in addressing antisemitism. CEJI is an active participant in the organisation, taking the lead on a number of actions in 2006 including providing assistance with drafting the Co-ordination's Statutes. CEJI also participated in ENAR-administered sessions of the Parliamentary Inter-Group on Racism and Diversity in the European Parliament, and in the ENAR seminar 'From racism to equality? Realising the potential of European anti-discrimination law', which took place on 6-7 October 2006 in Brussels.

CEJI is in regular contact with ENAR's policy staff, and mutual consultations on relevant issues take place regularly.
